June 24, 2022 – A day in Vermont

Today Wilma, Gus, and I Adventured to Vermont. Our main destinations were: Woodstock, Manchester, and Quechee, however we stopped at other locations along the way. Some of these were new, and some were old. It has been difficult for me to return to our bigger adventures, since our emergency with Gus, even with our new equipment. It was nice to have a day of peaceful adventures. Gus loved chasing anything moving in between the tall grass, finding sticks, and encouraging Wilma to play. Wilma enjoyed some happy rolls, and rolls of protest as she seemed to not prefer adventures on a warmer day. Therefore we did not do quite as much hiking as I planned as we wanted to make sure everyone enjoyed the day. Our adventures today included: sculptures, gardens, trails, bridges, farms, and a gorge. Here is a photo collage of our day!

Throwback Adventure – Middle Covered Bridge – Vermont

I will have sections of my blog that I will title “Throwback Adventure”, and will plan on posting them every Thursday. These are journeys we have taken before I started the blog, but are well worth sharing. Many of these Throwback Adventures will include our Buster, who was known for his crazy tail, his happy howl, and his zest for life. We miss him dearly…he is forever in our hearts!

In February of 2017 Shadow and I Adventured to the Middle Covered Bridge in Woodstock, Vermont. The Middle Covered Bridge was built in 1969, replacing a previous bridge.  It crosses the Ottaquechee River.

We had a dark, winter Adventure to the Middle Covered Bridge. We found the Bridge near the shops and restaurants, in the middle of a busy street. Shadow posed, as I snapped this memory from this Adventure. Our visit to the Bridge was brief and I only took a photo or two.  Although a dreary day for photographs I still love this photograph of Shadow, taken in one of my favorite Vermont towns. We definitely will be back to the Middle Covered Bridge in the future (Throwback Adventures will not always be rated).
