January 15, 2024 – Eureka Schoolhouse and Baltimore Covered Bridge

Today, Wilma, Gus and I Adventured to the Eureka Schoolhouse and Baltimore Covered Bridge in Springfield, Vermont. The Eureka Schoolhouse is the oldest one room Schoolhouse in Vermont. It was originally built in 1790 but later reconstructed. The Baltimore Covered Bridge was originally constructed in 1870 and crossed the Great Brook River, but later was moved to the current location. The Schoolhouse and Bridge are a State Historic Site in Vermont.

We had a simple Adventure to the Eureka Schoolhouse and Baltimore Covered Bridge. We spent much of the day in Vermont, but this Site was our only new location, and therefore the only blog for today. We found the Site easily and wandered around to explore. It was a small area along the River. The brown color of the structures looked bright against the snow and blue sky. We walked around to check out each angle before heading on to our next location. Glad we could check out the Eureka Schoolhouse and Baltimore Covered Bridge today (This blog will not be rated).
