Today, Wilma, Gus, and I Adventured to Ferry Landing State Park in Old Lyme, Connecticut. Ferry Landing State Park is a small, shoreline park, with a short boardwalk. It provides views of the Connecticut River and is popular for picnicking, fishing, and crabbing. There is no cost to enter this, Park.
We had a simple Adventure to Ferry Landing State Park, one of our four adventure today. I did not expect much, reading the reviews, however it was even smaller than I imagined. We arrived to find a nice breeze, several ladies painting, and few other visitors. We trotted around and enjoyed views of the water and bridges from across the river. Both Wilma and Gus seemed eager to explore, and of course Wilma celebrated this new adventure with some happy rolls. Our Adventure ended quickly and unexpectantly when a commuter rail loudly crashed across the bridge sending Gus into a panic. Luckily it went by quickly, but he could not calm himself, until he jumped into the car. Thankfully that appeared to instantly bring him back to a feeling of safety. Such a bummer of a moment for this sweet guy, however no ongoing issues as he enjoyed our next location as if the moment had not occurred. So glad we could check out this simple little park today (Rating: 3).
