The weekly Video/Photo section highlights an Adventure, while I might also sneak in some that are humorous, adorable, or just other fun dog moments. If you have followed my blog from the beginning you know that I adopted Shadow as a puppy, and about a year later adopted Buster as a puppy.  We had many wonderful years together before experiencing the devastating loss of Buster at just seven.  It took a long time for our hearts to heal, but almost a year after his passing we welcomed little Wilma into our world.  We were devastated to lose Shadow on April 3, 2020.These two precious boys will be furever in our hearts! We were recently thrilled to add another amazing rescue, Gus, to our home on June 28, 2021! This Weekly Video/Photo section will allow me to share photos from all four of my rescues, whether it be a precious memory, or a current moment.

Today’s photograph is from Wilma yesterday at Wickham Park in Connecticut. I have been to this park three times, and it is just beautiful. I did not blog about it yesterday as I have blogged about it previously. Gus was not feeling posing at this moment, so I figured I would catch Wilma’s smile in this snapshot. Is she not just adorable?! Here she is:

Oh, and I figured I would share our blog from our last trip to Wickham Park, last year as it really captured its beauty:

Today’s video is one from Wilma enjoying a pup cup yesterday – yum! I for some reason find these types of videos absolutely adorable – hope it brings a smile to your face today! Here she is devouring her fancy treat:

Today’s photograph is from Wilma at Bancroft Tower in Worcester, Massachusetts back in 2020. Bancroft Tower is more what I would call a castle but is listed as a “tower”. It’s a lovely, and regal structure. Such a perfect pose from this girl! If you have not yet been to Bancroft Tower, make sure you check it out! Here she is:

Today’s photo is one of Buster enjoying the smells out the window. I do not even remember this photograph, but I smiled when I found it today! He looks like quite the happy camper off to a new adventure. Wish I had started this blog before he passed, but quite thankful to have snapshots to remember many of our outings. He was one happy boy and sure is missed! Here he is:

Today’s photo is one of Shadow at Campbell Falls in Norwalk, Connecticut back in 2017. We actually climbed halfway up so this photograph is just part of the waterfall. It was a busy day of hiking and exploring and this was one of our adventures. Shadow was definitely the king of waterfalls. I sure do miss this hiking buddy…so glad we had many special hikes to remember! Here he is:

Today’s photograph is from this weekend. We had a wonderful weekend full of gardening, backyard time, kayaking, and family. It was a beautiful weekend, something that has not happened in Massachusetts for some time. Wilma and Gus enjoyed playing with one another, sunbathing, chasing squirrels, new bones, ice cream, naps and lots of love from Grandma and Grandpa. It was a wonderful weekend! This photo captures Gus in the middle of a nap on the dog couch, he was sound asleep. He is just adorable, don’t you agree?!

May 20, 2024 – Cookies to celebrate National Rescue Dog Day!

Happy National Rescue Dog Day!! Wilma and Gus each got a delicious cookie to celebrate and we are enjoying the great weather tonight before heading out for a walk. I am beyond grateful to have found four different rescue agencies to have placed me with my precious bundles! I have been sick for over a week and these two keep me smiling! I canceled my planned adventure for the weekend and they just go with the flow…just happy being with me ❤️. Glad to have a special day to celebrate them and the special gift of rescuing. They sure make my world a better place ❤️❤️Here they are enjoying their scrumptious treat:

Today’s video is one that not only involves the dogs being extra well behaved, but an adorable surprise in nature. I have never seen anything like this, and although the video really does not capture it well, I thought I would share it. Make sure you watch until the end and hope it brings a smile to your face as it did to mine. Here it is:

Today’s video is one of Gus enjoying life! He loves his rolls in one of the backyard dog beds, one of regular rituals. It makes me smile every time just seeing him so happy. He definitely has been the most nervous pup I have had, but he could not be more joyful while in our home sweet home. Hope this brings a smile to your day:
