February 10, 2024 – Waterfront Public Art Walk, New Bedford – Massachusetts

Last Sunday Wilma, Gus, and I Adventured to the Waterfront Public Art Walk in New Bedford. Massachusetts. This project is brought to the public by New Bedford Creative Org. There are several locations to enjoy a self-guided tour and see artwork including: sculptures, murals, and various other creative work.

We had a colorful Adventure so the Waterfront Public Art Walk. Although we had a map, I do not believe we found all the artwork, and not all the streets were labeled. I do believe it might have been an older map as well, but we did locate the majority of the art. In addition the map did indicate not all art was found on the map.

We began our walk on the waterfront, enjoying the colorful boats bobbing in the sea. There was alot of construction but we were able to locate all of the art on MacArthur Drive. Both Wilma and Gus enjoyed some rolls and posing. We then crossed the busy road to continue our journey. I soon realized it might be alot for Gus as we were entering into a more city like environment, with small roads, more people and increased sounds. However we did explore a bit trying to find all the art we could before turning back around back to the quiet of the waterfront. A good variety in our day in New Bedford (this blog will not be rated).

Weekly Video/Photo

The weekly Video/Photo section highlights an Adventure, while I might also sneak in some that are humorous, adorable, or just other fun dog moments. If you have followed my blog from the beginning you know that I adopted Shadow as a puppy, and about a year later adopted Buster as a puppy.  We had many wonderful years together before experiencing the devastating loss of Buster at just seven.  It took a long time for our hearts to heal, but almost a year after his passing we welcomed little Wilma into our world.  We were devastated to lose Shadow on April 3, 2020.These two precious boys will be furever in our hearts! We were recently thrilled to add another amazing rescue, Gus, to our home on June 28, 2021! This Weekly Video/Photo section will allow me to share photos from all four of my rescues, whether it be a precious memory, or a current moment.

Today’s photo is of Shadow and Wilma on a White Mountains trip, with this photo being taken on Echo Lake. It was taken in the most beautiful time of year – Fall – helping to add quite the colors. I am thankful that Wilma had years with Shadow to show her the trails. Here they are:

Today’s photo is a snapshot of Wilma and Gus, back when Gus was just a wee puppy :) They are posing next to some lovely wildflowers on one of our Adventures back in the summer of 2021. It is amazing to think Gus was ever so small, and how their connection has grown to being the best of friends. Here they are:

Today’s photo is a snapshot of Shadow at the Beach, one of the places he loved! He was my pup that enjoyed swimming the most, always searching for the water on a warm day. I sure miss him and his sweet soul. Here he is:

First Snow of the Season!!

We finally got our first snow of the season in Massachusetts! Wilma and Gus were thrilled to run around and play in this new fluffy fun (haha)! Wilma seemed especially excited which was quite adorable knowing she tends to be the more serious of the two. She loved eating snow, playing ball, and searching for the ball in the snow. Gus loved running around and sitting with his Mama. Both of course made some time for some squirrel chasing, and we took some festive selfies. It was fun to finally enjoy winter, just never ready for shoveling. Hope you all enjoyed the snow as well!

Happy New Years!

Happy New Years to all of our friends, family, and followers! Although we had planned some new adventures the last week was filled with the stomach bug/flu, rain, and a grossly flooded basement. I am blessed two have my two amazing best buds who kept me warm and smiling during these unexpected and unappreciated moments. Far from the refreshing vacation I dreamed of but we are now on to the New Year! Looking forward to seeing where our next adventures will take us! Happy New Years from Wilma, Gus, and I!

Merry Christmas 2023!

I wanted to write to wish all my friends, family, and followers a very Merry Christmas!! I hope everyone had a peaceful and joy filled day with family and friends. Today Wilma and I celebrated with my parents. Wilma and Gus got some amazing toys from my parents, and from me, a great variety, and lots of fun! They especially enjoyed their gnome and reindeer toys, endless entertainment. Wilma loved some snoozes in her favorite dog bed at Grandma and Grandpa’s and Gus appreciated his naps cuddled up with one of his favorite humans. It was a perfect day in every way! Below you will see a collage from today, some from my photo shoots for our holiday card, and some at my house with their new toys. Merry Christmas!!
