The weekly Video/Photo section highlights an Adventure, while I might also sneak in some that are humorous, adorable, or just other fun dog moments. If you have followed my blog from the beginning you know that I adopted Shadow as a puppy, and about a year later adopted Buster as a puppy.  We had many wonderful years together before experiencing the devastating loss of Buster at just seven.  It took a long time for our hearts to heal, but almost a year after his passing we welcomed little Wilma into our world.  We were devastated to loose Shadow on April 3, 2020.These two precious boys boys will be furever in our hearts! We were recently thrilled to add another amazing rescue, Gus, to our home on June 28, 2021! This Weekly Video/Photo section will allow me to share photos from all four of my rescues, whether it be a precious memory, or a current moment.

Today’s photograph is one of my adorable, sweet Wilma posing with a big grin. I just love this close up portrait of my girl, eager and ready for a game of ball. Definitely a perfect photo for today’s Weekly Photo.

September 18, 2022 – Downtown Ipswitch, Massachusetts

Today Wilma, Gus, and I Adventured to Downtown Ipswitch, Massachusetts. Ipswitch is a coastal town in northern Massachusetts often well known as being the location of Crane Beach, Sandy Point Reservation, and Crane Estate. Ipswitch is a residential community, and also a popular tourist destination.

We had a simple Adventure to Ipswitch. I still am not feeling too great, so thought we would just take a local stroll. I have been curious about Ipswitch having seen signs for the “Riverwalk”, and noticing some other aspects while driving through. Therefore today became the perfect day to explore this town. We parked and spent about one hour walking around downtown. We walked over a bridge referred to as “Riverwalk”, found some detailed and colorful murals, located a unique sculpture, and appreciated the colorful flowers adorning the town and the shops throughout. We also took some time checking out the historic Whipple House and the butterfly garden trails. Far from a fancy Adventure today, but yet glad to wander around the town of Ipswitch today (this blog will not be rated).

Go Pats!!

We are excited about opening day so time for a mini Patriots photo shoot (haha)! We have had a simple weekend as I have been sick although we did manage a local walk yesterday before I started feeling worse. However, today is one of my favorite days of the year, so why not use it as an excuse to blog. Wilma, Gus, and I will be cheering on the Pats today – Go Pats!

September 3, 2022 – A day in Maine

Today Wilma, Gus, and I Adventured to Maine. We adventured to one of our favorite parks – Fort Williams Parks, and also explored the town of Wicasset and the grounds of Castle Tucker, Although I have blogged about Fort Williams Park before I thought I would still include it in my collage of our day in Maine. We enjoyed walking, some digging (haha), and both Wilma Gus appreciated some happy rolls. So glad to explore with my adorable pair! (This blog will not be rated).

Today’s photograph is one of my sweet Shadow, when he was about eight years old. I was studying for a class I was taking and he was right by my side. Shadow was the perfect name for him, and he changed my world forever. So glad he started my life as a crazy rescue Mother. He will furever be a piece of my heart!

August 25, 2022 – White Mountains – New Hampshire

Today Wilma, Gus, my Mom and I Adventured to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The White Mountains are a mountain range that cover a large part of New Hampshire, and also a portion of western Maine. The White Mountains include 48 peaks at over 4,000 feet. The White Mountains are popular for skiing, hiking, and ATVing.

We had a scenic adventure to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. I was excited for a day in this beautiful location, and of course for the wonderful company of my Mom. We decided to visit some of my favorite spots, and I enjoyed some reminiscing of my weekend Inn job in Bethlehem. Overall the sun was shining and the clouds gorgeous, although we did have a spell of darkness sprinkles along the way. We walked and explored and stopped at several lovely roadside spots throughout the day. Although nothing compares to Fall in the White Mountains, the scenery was still lovely. So glad we could visit the White Mountains today (this blog will not be rated)

Today’s photograph is one of sweet Gus cuddling with his toys. He absolutely loves to play and I often am able to capture cute photographs of him cuddling with his toys after he enjoys them. Here is my sweet boy!

August 19, 2022 – Mount Agamenticus – Maine

Today Gus and I Adventured to Mount Agamenticus in Cape Neddick, Maine. Mount Agamenticus is an almost 700 foot high mountain, with approximately eight miles of trails, including a hike to the summit. There is also a driving road to the summit.

Gus and I had a lovely hike up to the top of Mount Agamenticus. I felt guilty leaving Wilma home but she has become quite sensitive and unappreciative of the warm weather so I thought that was best. On our hike today we did the combined Ring, Blueberry Bluff, Sweet Fern Trail loop but also enjoyed other trails including the Northface Path and the Big A Loop. The trails were well marked.

We arrived at the base parking lot at approximately 6:45 and off we went. I could not believe how quickly we arrived at the summit. The top of the Mountain had lovely views and various trails throughout. We took our time walking and found few other visitors, so glad to be early birds! There were several look-outs, boardwalks, wildflowers, and lots of green color.

After taking our time at the summit we headed down the Sweet Fern Trail back to the Ring Trail. Poor Gus seemed quite nervous on much of the trip, but still enjoyed exploring, chasing moths, and the new smells of the terrain. We started to see more people on our return trip. On our hike we saw three dogs, all of which were leashed. Although I was not as impressed as I expected with this location, I greatly enjoyed an energetic hike. So glad we could hike Mount Agamenticus today (Rating: 4).

August 12, 2022 – Dairy Queen – New York

Today Wilma, Gus, and I Adventured to Dairy Queen in Ghent, New York. Dairy Queen is an international franchise that serves items, including: ice cream, burgers, and shakes. The Dairy Queen in Ghent also had a drive through.

We had a tasty adventure to Dairy Queen. I was actually not originally thinking of getting ice cream but was hungry after our Omni Art adventure, so it was a good time for a tasty treat. I thought Dairy Queen had a special dog treat and I was happy to find I was correct. Two dog treats and a milkshake for me made for the perfect afternoon snack. Of course, many photographs and some licking videos below for all to appreciate (This blog will not be rated).

August 12, 2022 – Art Omni – New York

Today Wilma, Gus, and I Adventured to Art Omni in Ghent, New York. Art Omni is a non-profit art center with a 120 acre sculpture and architecture park and an art gallery. The park is free, but a $10 donation is requested. Dogs are allowed in the gallery and on the grounds.

We had a unique adventure to Art Omni. I was excited to find yet another local sculpture park. We found the park easily, grabbed a map, and off we went. As it was a summer day I knew Wilma would not necessarily want to explore every inch of the park, so I decided to explore without an official route. The trails went through the woods and the fields, scattered with sculptures of all shapes, sizes, and colors. There were endless wildflowers and a lovely green pond on the grounds. Both Wilma and Gus enjoyed some rolls, while Gus loved chasing any little bug or moth he could find, continually bounding into the tall grass. We took time to rest in the shade and drink some water. Throughout our walk we saw other visitors and dogs, several were off leash, however thankfully appeared to be under voice control. So glad we could adventure to Art Omni today (Rating: 4).
