October 6, 2023 – J.P. LICKS – Massachusetts

Tonight, Wilma, Gus, and I placed a Door Dash order with J.P. LICKS in Andover, Massachusetts. J.P. LICKS is an ice cream chain restaurant in Massachusetts, that was opened initially in Jamaica Plains in 1981. It is owned and founded by Vince Petryk. Their products include: ice cream, yogurt, coffee, cakes, and pies, catering is also available.

We had a delicious adventure delivered from J.P. LICKS (haha!) It has been a long and stressful work week, so I thought this would be a fun and well-deserved way to start the long weekend. The pups each got “Cow Paws” a dairy free dog treat, while I ordered a Pumpkin Spice Ice Cream Frappe to celebrate the Fall season. I can promise not one of us was disappointed! So glad to start the weekend with some delicious treats! (This blog will not be rated).

June 4, 2023 – Dairy Queen – Massachusetts

Today Wilma, Gus, and I Adventured to Dairy Queen in Natick, Massachusetts. Dairy Queen is an international franchise that serves items, including: ice cream, burgers, and shakes. The Dairy Queen in Ghent also had a drive through.

We had a tasty Adventure to Dairy Queen. I had plans for a new active Adventure but due to this weekend’s gloomy forecast we decided to enjoy local walks, trotting for about five hours (over two days) at our favorite Arboretum. After today’s walk we decided to stop for a treat at Dairy Queen. We arrived to find a very quiet and simple location. They seemed surprised when I requested dog ice cream but said they could get them a small vanilla, so of course I said yes! I ordered a Butterfinger Blizzard but was disappointed that there was little candy in it. However, the pups loved their ice cream, licking up every bite. So glad we could appreciate some goodies at Dairy Queen today (Rating: 3).

July 17, 2021 – Kimball Farm, Carlisle – Massachusetts

Today Wilma and I Adventured to Kimball Farm, Carlisle. Kimball Farm has fifty flavors of homemade ice cream and provide picnic tables for seating. Kimball Farm has four different locations between Massachusetts and New Hampshire. It is a family run business.

We had a tasty adventure to Kimball Farm in Carlisle. Today was a fun day, we had a two hour family walk in the morning, and both Gus and Wilma had their own private adventures. I cannot remember if we have been to this location before but decided to blog about it without checking. I was excited to get some ice cream, and take Wilma on this adventure. We arrived to find a busy location, but all windows open creating quick services. Wilma made some friends with some little ones quickly rolling over for some belly rubs. I ordered a coffee frappe and Wilma ordered her traditional dog ice cream (haha). Due to the quick influx of other dogs I decided to let Wilma appreciate her ice cream in the car, on her knew luxurious new car cover. She devoured it quickly and had no complaints. I was not overly impressed with my frappe, but was glad to have a refreshing treat. So glad we could adventure to Kimball Farm, Carlisle today (Rating: 3).

June 28, 2020 – Meadowlands Ice Cream – Massachusetts

Today Wilma and I Adventured to Meadowlands Ice Cream in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. Meadowlands is an ice cream stand known for their homemade ice cream.  In addition they sell pies, pizzas, and cookies, and are very dog friendly.  Meadowlands began making home made ice cream in 1964 although ownership has changed over the years.

We had a refreshing Adventure to Meadowlands.  This was our first NEW ice cream Adventure of the year.  We arrived just prior to opening, therefore finding the location very quiet.  We first wandered around to see the grounds and viewed several small gardens, before heading over to place our orders.

I ordered cookie dough topped with whip cream and their canine selection for Wilma.  We then wandered behind Meadowlands to sit and savor our treats.  Wilma quickly devoured her ice cream, which was topped with peanut butter.  I took my time and gave Wilma the last spoonful.  So tasty!  I loved that Meadowlands had plenty of space to sit and was backed by a field.  This created a tranquil atmosphere.  Definitely a fun and filling trip!  You cannot go wrong with ice cream (Rating:  Just right)
