Throwback Adventure – Singing Beach – Massachusetts

I have decided to return to posting new “Throwback Adventures” after taking time to re-post some of my favorites with Shadow.  This has been a therapeutic process for me to share.  We are devastated that both Shadow and Buster have both passed, but find peace knowing we can continue to remember them through our “Throwback Adventures”.  They were amazing boys and are forever in our hearts.

Shadow and I had two Adventures to Singing Beach, while My Mom also joined us on one of these occasions.  Singing Beach is a a popular public beach in Manchester-by-the-Sea.  Singing Beach is said to have a sound of singing after one shuffles their feet in the sand.  Dogs are allowed on Singing Beach from October 15-April 14 but are not allowed during the summer months.

We have had two wonderful Adventures to Singing Beach with our sweet Shadow.  We found the beach to be a popular location for off-leash dogs.   During our visits Shadow enjoyed playing ball, meeting new friends, relaxing, and strolling the shores with his mama❤️.  He enjoyed wading in the water and although I do not recall him swimming, we did visit on chilly days.  A couple of my favorite photographs of this precious boy came on these two Adventures.  Shadow always loved our Adventures on the beach.  Although the rumor is that this beach actually sings, I never heard any of these sounds.  However so glad we were able to create special memories at the Singing Beach (Throwback Adventures will not always be rated).

Throwback Adventure – Nantasket Beach – Massachusetts

I have decided to return to posting new “Throwback Adventures” after taking time to re-post some of my favorites with Shadow.  This has been a therapeutic process for me to share.  We are devastated that both Shadow and Buster have both passed, but find peace knowing we can continue to remember them through our “Throwback Adventures”.  They were amazing boys and are forever in our hearts.

In April 2018 Shadow, Wilma and I Adventured to Nantasket Beach in Hull, Massachusetts.  This Beach is part of the Nantasket Beach Reservation and is managed by the Department of Conservation and Recreation.  Nantasket Beach is a very popular beach in summer months.

We had a playful Adventure to Nantasket Beach.  It was a dark day, often typical in the early spring months in Massachusetts.  Shadow and Wilma explored, played, and bounced around excited to be on yet another beach Adventure.  The Beach was mostly sandy, but had beautiful round, and colorful rocks on parts of the shore.  It was very quiet, which of course we appreciated.  Nantasket Beach was far from a fancy Beach, but yet being on the sand, and knowing spring was on the way made for quite the perfect day.  So glad we were able to Adventure to Nantasket Beach (Throwback blogs will not always be rated).

April 25, 2020 – Craigville Beach – Massachusetts

Today Wilma and I Adventured to Craigville Beach in Barnstable, Massachusetts, part of Cape Cod.  Craigville Beach is a public beach located on Nantucket Sound.  There is a daily parking fee required in-season.  As expected Craigville Beach is popular for swimming, sunbathing, walking and socializing.

We had a colorful Adventure to Craigville Beach as we arrived bright and early to admire the sunrise.  I was relieved upon arrival to find an empty beach, although several visitors were noted to be sitting in cars.  Immediately we headed to the water’s edge, and heard sounds of birds, and the waves, a peaceful oasis.  Wilma was absolutely thrilled to be at the beach, often darting back and forth trying to run.  We walked along the shore, peaked at shells, and appreciated the full sensory experience.  Wilma participated in some chaotic digging, and appeared quite brave entering the water, seeming to understand the term “go swimming” meant to head toward the water.  I thought about our beach bum Shadow trotting by our side, he would have been so happy to enjoy a beach morning.  Glad he had so many Adventures to the beach.  We spent about an hour at the beach, as we relished some coastal therapy.  Such a peaceful morning at Craigsville Beach (Rating:  3.5)
