If you have followed my blog from the beginning you know that I adopted Shadow as a puppy, and about a year later adopted Buster as a puppy.  We had many wonderful years together before experiencing the devastating loss of Buster at just seven.  It took a long time for our hearts to heal, but almost a year after his passing we welcomed little Wilma into our world.  We were devastated to lose Shadow on April 3, 2020.These two precious boys will be furever in our hearts! We were recently thrilled to add another amazing rescue, Gus, to our home on June 28, 2021! This Weekly Video/Photo section will allow me to share photos from all four of my rescues, whether it be a precious memory, or a current moment.

Today’s photo is one of my favorite holiday photos of sweet Shadow, specifically for July 4th. You may have seen this one in one of my July 4th collages but I thought today was the perfect day to highlight it in my Weekly Video/Photo being that today is the 4th. Shadow was such a good poser, and often had eyes on me. Although when naming him Shadow I did not know he would be a shadow (haha) he certainly lived up to his name ❤️One of my endless memories of Shadow:

Today’s photo is one of Buster when he was just a wee puppy ❤️. It was his first trip to the beach with Shadow and my friends who had two dogs. He was trying to decide if he wanted to join them a little deeper. I wish I had more old videos but glad I am have this sweet photo of my boy. We sure do miss him!

Today’s photo is one of Gus from this weekend at the Arnold Arboretum. The Rhododendron area of the Arboretum is almost fully in bloom, a perfect location for an adorable Gus pose. There is a path that runs along these lovely bushes, and a singing little brook. He posed on a very high rock, but unfortunately, I did not capture all of it, but still got a lovely snapshot of this handsome guy. My boy Gus, here he is:

Today’s photo is one of Shadow in Florida when he was three years old, hanging out in our backyard. He had unique and gorgeous brindle coloring and was so sweet and well behaved. He loved people and all canine friends and was the perfect off-leash dog. Gus reminds me of him on occasion, however Shadow outgrew his nervous tendencies. They would have been best of friends; I am sure of that! Here is Shadow….we sure do miss him!

Happy Memorial Day to all of our friends and followers!! We are grateful for those who fought a for our country and we honor you today! We will definitely enjoy our day off today, it is a beautiful day! Hope yours is wonderful too in whatever way you celebrate!

I am excited to inform my friends, and followers that I will be adding a kayaking section to my blog! As many of you know Gus often joins me on my kayaking trips. We have not yet been out this year but hope to change that soon. He sometimes will nap, while other will sit or stand and enjoys the view. The kayak has not yet tipped, although one occasion he somehow ended up out of the boat, but the handle on the lifebelt let me lift him right back in. Gus seems to enjoy this past time and I love his company! I have thought of bringing Wilma but she is about twenty pounds heavier, and does not like tipping movements, like that of a dock… so I feel she would not enjoy this experience. The lucky lady, however, often hangs out with Grandma and Grandpa on these adventures which is a perfect day as well! I will mostly just post new places we have been to but on occasion may re-post on a different days’ adventure. As you may expect I will only blog those times Gus is with me on these paddles. I have attached the link below for past kayaking adventures and look forward to adding more soon.

Today’s video is one from Halibut Point State Park in Rockport, Massachusetts. I do not believe I have posted it in my Weekly Video/Photo section, but you may have seen it in my blog about the Park. It absolutely cracks me up so I had to share it as a Video highlight. Wilma is far from a water girl but it was a hot day inspiring her to play in the seaweed and tidepools…it was just hysterical. I hope it brings a smile to your face, as it did to mine.
