Today Wilma, Gus, and I Adventured to the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord, Massachusetts. The Sleepy Hollow Cemetery is known for being the burial location for famous writers, thinkers, and Concord residents and is estimated to have over 10,000 gravesites. It was established in 1855 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
We had a unique Adventure to the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. We took one of our favorite local walks before heading over to the Sleepy Cemetery. It was nice to see the sun out, and a warmer afternoon in the mid 20’s. We parked at Monument Square and walked over to the Cemetery, however found several parking spots available near the main entrance. I did not have a specific route in mind but wanted to explore the entire area as well as locate some of author gravesites. We walked and walked, checking out the various headstones throughout. There were others walking, but it was overall quiet, besides the sound of a nearby car here and there. We found the “Author’s Ridge” and located some well-known gravesites. It was really a perfect day for a walk. So glad we could explore the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery (This blog will not be rated).

Glad you made it to the Cemetery I had no idea it had so many gravesites!
