I have decided to add a tab/menu section of my blog specifically for Covered Bridges. If you follow my blog you are well aware that I am a fan of visiting covered bridges with my two best, buds, Shadow and Wilma. I still have many Throwback Adventures to write about, and I am sure we will Adventure to many more covered bridges in the future. Since we have had many current Adventures I thought it was a good time to add this feature. I believe there is one bridge from New York, but generally they will be from our New England Adventures. As I assembled this collection it made me smile seeing our Buster enjoy many of these Adventures. We sure do miss him!
Here are just a few of my many favorites. Hope you too can enjoy some Adventures to these special New England landmarks!
We wanted to wish all our friends, family, followers, and visitors a very Happy Easter! We hope you enjoyed a wonderful day with your family!
Last year we had a very entertaining photo shoot with Shadow, Wilma, and the Easter bunny. I wish I had a video camera as I think Wilma thought the Easter bunny was a gigantic blanket. She seemed to be rolling herself up and in the bunny, just pure excitement of this new soft creature. Out of this entertaining photo shoot we were given this adorable photograph, a brief calm moment in the chaos. We did not do an Easter bunny photo shoot this year, however I do not think that anything can top this special photograph.
Hope it will bring a smile to your face!!!!!!! Happy Easter!!
I wanted to let my followers and visitors know I added a “Search Box” to my blog. On a mobile phone you can find this at the very bottom of the page, and on the computer you can find it to the right of the blog. You might see it in the midst of some outside advertisements. Unfortunately I did not have choice of the placement of this “Search Box”, however I am still excited about this feature. This will allow followers, and visitors to search for a specific place, blog, type of blog, and/or let me refer to another blog as necessary (example: for featuring a photograph in the Weekly Video/Photo that was from a previous blog). Enjoy and Search!
Earlier this week I decided to add a “Lighthouses” category to my blog, which you can find under the “Menu”. We have been on so many amazing Adventures, and sometimes they can get lost within the blog as they were posted as long as one year ago. This will also provide those looking for lighthouses in New England more detailed information about our Adventures which may become your Adventures. I am excited to add this feature to my blog, and am planning on adding other categories in the future. Summer is a popular season for New England lighthouses. Hope you will find one or more that you can enjoy as well! Happy Adventures!
I have decided to add a “Waterfalls” category to my blog, which you can find under the “Menu”. We have been on so many amazing Adventures, and sometimes they can get lost within the blog as they were posted as long as one year ago. This will also provide those looking for waterfalls in New England more detailed information about our Adventures which may become your Adventures. I am excited to add this feature to my blog, and am planning on adding other categories in the future. Spring and Summer are the best seasons for New England waterfalls. Hope you will find one or more that you can enjoy as well! Happy Adventures!
So today I would like to say Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays to all my followers, friends, and family! I am so lucky to have an amazing family to fill us with love and cheer during the holidays!! Christmas is a very special time for us to celebrate our wonderful family, relax, and make memories!
Over the years I have begun a tradition of taking holiday photographs of Shadow, Wilma, and Buster (who we miss dearly). I quickly have gathered some of these special photographs to put together a little collage. Some are fancy, and some are simple, yet all a happy collection of my loves.
We hope this collage will add a smile to your face as well…we are now off to plan our next Adventure!

Today Shadow, Wilma, and I decided to make some dog cookies. As you may notice, if you follow my blog, our new and fancy Adventures slow down a bit as we get into the early to dark evenings, and the winter weather. However, there are many other things we do that I do not blog about, including: daily neighborhood walks, trips to the pet store, other local walks, Adventures to places we have already blogged about, and visiting our amazing family.
So today I thought I would blog about one of our fun “other” moments, enjoyable Tasty Dog Cookies. I started with finding a recipe online, with some healthy dog ingredients, and then tracked down my cookie cutters, including a squirrel for Wilma, a fire hydrant for Shadow, and a bone for all. Although quite disappointing in presentation, there was no lack of anticipation. Don’t tell Wilma Mae, but I let Shadow sample a couple of cookies, while she was out back stalking squirrels. Not one complaint! Wilma soon was able to sample some of her own, displaying a full bundle of enthusiasm. I even decided to make some people cookies for myself and our company tonight, making quite a perfect addition to our evening. I saved some of the dough for a future night of delicious cookies. So although we will likely plan for a different recipe on our next cookie Adventure, our appetites were satisfied.
I noticed when updating my blog that photographs and videos have been removed from my posts. I am looking into the matter, but believe this might be because I have deleted various items from storage to clear up space to add many more! I will be contacting Word Press to hopefully resolve this matter. However it appears that there was just one post where all of the photos were removed, so I have just added them back to that particular blog. I guess sometimes I just take too many photographs… We sure do enjoy our Adventures!
So today was a tough day for Shadow, and Wilma as I, as Shadow had surgery to remove a tumor on his leg. Although I did not prefer for him to have surgery, the procedure was reasonably simple (yet still serious surgery), and necessary to provide continued functioning and the health of his leg. We are expecting to return to our Adventures in a couple weeks, as Shadow will need to rest before returning to our active lifestyle. Shadow is so brave, and strong. I often refer to as my gentle giant. The anticipation, and surgery day was tough, but the surgery went well, and we are on to recovery. Please keep him in your thoughts, and wish us luck with our wild little Wilma as we change our lifestyle to one of rest! We will be back!
I am writing to inform my followers that today I will be having surgery, which sadly will lead to a short lull in our adventures. It has been a scary medical summer, which finally has ended in negative test results, but needed surgery. I am grateful that up until now I have been able to push through it all and keep on our adventures. Exploring New England with Shadow and Wilma has been the greatest therapy I can ask for during this challenging time. They have kept me motivated, and smiling while facing this unexpected life detour. So, hopefully just for a couple weeks our adventures will be on hold, but we will be eager to be off again soon. Thank you for following our blog and/or visiting/viewing. We look forward to the return of our adventures.
PS – Don’t forget our “Throwback Thursday Adventure” – which will continue!
