The weekly Video/Photo section highlights an Adventure, while I might also sneak in some that are humorous, adorable, or just other fun dog moments. If you have followed my blog from the beginning you know that I adopted Shadow as a puppy, and about a year later adopted Buster as a puppy.  We had many wonderful years together before experiencing the devastating loss of Buster at just seven.  It took a long time for our hearts to heal, but almost a year after his passing we welcomed little Wilma into our world.  We were devastated to loose Shadow on April 3, 2020.  These two precious boys boys will be furever in our hearts! We were recently thrilled to add another amazing rescue, Gus, to our home on June 28, 2021! This Weekly Video/Photo section will allow me to share photos from all four of my rescues, whether it be a precious memory, or a current moment.

Today’s photograph is one of Wilma and Gus in Camden, Maine from this weekend. I did not blog about Camden this weekend as I have blogged about it somewhat recently. However I always love exploring Camden and took too many photographs of the pups in this beautiful town. Here they are posing grandly:

October 30, 2021 – Acadia National Park – Maine

Yesterday Wilma, Gus, and I Adventured to Acadia National Park in Maine. Acadia National Park is a Park in Northeastern Maine that encompasses half of Mount Desert Island, and also is situated on the Schoodic Peninsula and Isle au Haut. It is 47,000 acres and popular for fall foliage seekers, winter skiing, spring fishing and hiking.

We had a gorgeous Adventure to Acadia National Park. I was thrilled that the weathermen predicted the weather incorrectly, so although some of the day was dark and cloudy there was hardly a drop of rain. On our Adventure our stops included: Cadillac Mountain, Jordan Pond, the Ocean Path, Otter Cliffs, and Sand Beach. We spent over five hours walking, and also explored every little area we could find. It was a beautiful day, and much warmer then expected. Acadia National Park is definitely one, if not the most beautiful spots in New England. I look forward to our next visit (Rating: 5).

Throwback Adventure

If you follow my blog regularly please skip down to paragraph three…

I have decided to make some changes to my Throwback section. This is partly because I have had the blog for about three years and each week I have posted an Adventure from before I started the blog. This has become more challenging between finding old photographs, and identifying the location. Although I will still be adding some here and and there I thought I would also use the Throwback Adventure to share past Adventures I have posted. I have new followers, and of course not every follower has been able to view all blogs. This Throwback blog will also allow me an opportunity to share special memories of my boys, Shadow and Buster who have passed. They began my life of wonderful adventures with my rescues, and will be furever in our hearts!!

Today’s Throwback Adventure is from the Erving State Forest in Erving, Massachusetts. I Adventured to Erving State Forest with Shadow, Wilma, and my Uncle back in October 2018. We had a lovely Fall walk and enjoyed wonderful company. We walked along the trail and also spent some time on the beach, the dogs enjoying some time playing and digging. Great memories from yet another special Adventure. Please see below for the link and two photo highlights.

Today’s Weekly Video is one I just adore of Wilma and Gus playing ball. Once Wilma let Gus steal her ball and they began playing keep away I knew it was true love. Now they love playing keep away with the ball. It is just a small clip of what has become just about a daily activity. I really cannot get enough of this sweet pair. Here’s to some ball:

Today’s Throwback Adventure is from Beede Falls and Rattlesnake Mountain, an Adventure I took back in May 2018 with Shadow and Wilma. These locations were near one another and just beautiful! A mountain view and a flowing waterfall made for one spectacular day. You can see two photo highlights before, but also click on the link below to see my original post.

Today’s photograph is one of Shadow and Wilma back in October 2017 in the White Mountains. Wilma was about the same age as Gus is now, just a puppy. I love this photograph of them, posing perfectly in a scenic location. Here they are:

Today’s photograph is one I took this past weekend of Wilma and Gus in Wilmington, Vermont. Wilmington was one of our stops on our Vermont day of Adventures but since I have blogged about it before I did not do a specific post about it this time. Wilmington is a fun little River town, with this perfect little bridge that of course I could not resist posing my sweet pups. Although a dark day I still LOVE this photograph.

Today’s Throwback Adventure is of Moss Glenn Falls in Stowe, Vermont, almost two years ago. I took this Adventure with Shadow and Wilma. The trail was in a quiet and peaceful location, along the River and up the hill we climbed to Moss Glenn Falls. The waterfall was tall and spectacular, although quite hard to capture on camera. The viewing areas were a little dangerous right on the ledge, so you could only get so close before risking your footing. I really enjoyed our Adventure to Moss Glenn Falls. Below you will see two photograph highlights, and you can also click on the link to see the original post, definitely a lovely waterfall.

Today’s photograph is a gorgeous photograph that my Mom took of Shadow, Buster, and I at Echo Lake in the White Mountains. So although it is not technically a photograph from my hands it really is just a perfect snapshot of me and my boys on a beautiful Fall day. I have this photograph in a frame and will treasure it forever. Glad she was able to capture this moment.

Today’s Throwback is Adventure is one I took with Wilma over two years ago to the Boston Garden. It was a hot summer day so Shadow was hanging out at the Grandma and Grandpa spa while Wilma went on this solo Adventure. The Boston Garden can be a beautiful place, especially in the summer. It is filled with flowers, greenery, statues, and some water, even hosting the swan boats. Wilma absolutely loved the city squirrels which is the first thing that I remember when I think of this Adventure – it sure was a wild one (haha!) Below you will find two photographs from our Adventure, and you can also click on the link below for the full original blog:
