If you have followed my blog from the beginning you know that I adopted Shadow as a puppy, and about a year later adopted Buster as a puppy.  We had many wonderful years together before experiencing the devastating loss of Buster at just seven.  It took a long time for our hearts to heal, but almost a year after his passing we welcomed little Wilma into our world.  We were devastated to lose Shadow on April 3, 2020.These two precious boys will be furever in our hearts! We were recently thrilled to add another amazing rescue, Gus, to our home on June 28, 2021! Today’s photo is one of Shadow and I at Lincoln Woods in Lincoln, New Hampshire back in October 2018. Shadow was giving me a big giant kiss at one of my favorite look-out spots at this beautiful hiking location! I have been thinking about this special boy alot! We sure went on some fantastic hikes in the Whites, even at an age people might say a dog is too old to hike, you would have never known! We will miss this gentle giant furever!

Today’s photo is one from the Gilford Covered Bridge in Gilford, New Hampshire. This was one from an adventure earlier this month. I have blogged about the Gilford Covered Bridge before, so did not do a blog on this trip. However, I could not resist sharing an adorable photograph from the front angle of the bridge for today’s weekly photo. Here they are – Wilma and Gus!

Today’s photo is one of my favorite holiday photos of sweet Shadow, specifically for July 4th. You may have seen this one in one of my July 4th collages but I thought today was the perfect day to highlight it in my Weekly Video/Photo being that today is the 4th. Shadow was such a good poser, and often had eyes on me. Although when naming him Shadow I did not know he would be a shadow (haha) he certainly lived up to his name ❤️One of my endless memories of Shadow:

Today’s photo is one of Buster when he was just a wee puppy ❤️. It was his first trip to the beach with Shadow and my friends who had two dogs. He was trying to decide if he wanted to join them a little deeper. I wish I had more old videos but glad I am have this sweet photo of my boy. We sure do miss him!

Today’s photo is one of Gus from this weekend at the Arnold Arboretum. The Rhododendron area of the Arboretum is almost fully in bloom, a perfect location for an adorable Gus pose. There is a path that runs along these lovely bushes, and a singing little brook. He posed on a very high rock, but unfortunately, I did not capture all of it, but still got a lovely snapshot of this handsome guy. My boy Gus, here he is:

Today’s photo is one of Shadow in Florida when he was three years old, hanging out in our backyard. He had unique and gorgeous brindle coloring and was so sweet and well behaved. He loved people and all canine friends and was the perfect off-leash dog. Gus reminds me of him on occasion, however Shadow outgrew his nervous tendencies. They would have been best of friends; I am sure of that! Here is Shadow….we sure do miss him!

Happy Memorial Day to all of our friends and followers!! We are grateful for those who fought a for our country and we honor you today! We will definitely enjoy our day off today, it is a beautiful day! Hope yours is wonderful too in whatever way you celebrate!
